About us:
It’s been three years since we retired. “Retired” is a bit of a stretch. Our present occupation should really be listed as “perpetually busy”. Between remodeling our house, chasing grandkids, helping parents, musical endeavors and the periodic trip, we do keep ourselves occupied. (To say nothing of the more frequent doctor visits that seem to accompany our advancing age!)
God is good!
We have been blessed to enjoy relatively good health for most of our lives, but I was diagnosed with Muscle Invasive Bladder cancer on June 23rd, the day we were planning to leave for our biannual family festivities in Ohio. It was quite a shock and has radically changed our plans for the rest of this year and quite possibly most of next. Advancing age often brings with it various maladies. While I hoped to be an exception, that is not to be. I had a large tumor removed in mid July and have begun a very aggressive treatment of a cancer drug combined with an immunotherapy drug. I have a literal army of prayer warriors lifting my needs up to the Lord. I am satisfied that my surgeon and oncology teams are the best available. They seem to be thoroughly versed on the latest treatments and I am confident they will give the utmost effort to achieving a positive outcome. Ultimately that outcome is in My Lords Hands. I am OK with that!
God is still Good!!!
Our intention with this website is very simple. Just to say hello occasionally, post a thought or two from time to time, and periodic pictures of Sara’s decorating projects, the grandkids and our various activities.
